“Nabt Nkͻr” literally means the Nabt voice.
We are a Non-Government Organisation registered under the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179) of Ghana. Our purpose is to effect change through the indigenous Nabdam culture itself, hence, Nabt Centre for Cultural Studies (NCCS).
The organisation was founded by Rev Fr J. V. Baba Abugri, CSSp. He was inspired by his birth in Diaspora and inability to fluently speak his father tongue coupled with the fact that there was no literature for learning the language and traditions of his ancestors.
Our area of operations now is in the Nabdam district. We are currently working on producing teaching and learning materials for the Nabt language of Upper East Ghana.
We are very happy to partner with individuals, groups and academic institutions interested in our objectives and ready to offer scholarship packages to brilliant but needy students.
